Impressions from the Anniversary Conference

Dear friends in Christ,

The anniversary conference in Lage was a huge success. So many people came (above 750) who were welcomed by a loving and serving church. We all have fond memories of the impacting teaching by John MacArthur, the good and encouraging fellowship and the unity around the Word of God and its central subject: Jesus Christ!

Here you can find some visual impressions of the conference:

Christian Andresen writes about the outcome of the conference:

It was never our goal to extend the EBTC’s influence throughout Germany and Europe.  Rather we wanted men and women to be deeply grounded in God’s Word. That they would be independently dependent upon Christ, and that they would be strong witnesses for Christ in their church and community.

This conference emphasized exactly that.  John MacArthur’s teaching on the right understanding of the Lordship of Christ and our role as slaves of Christ was clear and convicting.  People were in awe with the depth of teaching they received.  I heard from several known leaders who attended the conference that they received solid spiritual food that will require us to respond in our attitudes and lives.  The truth—God’s Word taught so that believers might understand, has a lasting impact on the individual and His kingdom!

Let us continue to pray and labour that the glory of God may be made known in our spiritually corrupt country and continent! His Word is all-sufficient to effect this, and His faithfulness the encouragement we have.

in Him.

EBTC weekend, #2

As the 2nd EBTC weekend is underway we thank God for His rich provision of good and willing students, as well as excellent teachers. Here are some impressions from the different classes:

We also heard good messages in both chapels, yesterday and today. On friday we heard about the need to forgive as God has forgiven us (from Matthew 18:21-35) and today we were learned about the need and the nature of evangelistic prayer, from 1 Timothy 2:1-7.

Yesterday we had the 2nd year preaching class students preaching as part of their assignments. It is so good to see the growth and progress in all of them over the past months. It is very uplifting and works gratitude in all of us at the EBTC for what God is doing here.

The russian classes are also growing and doing very well. The church here in Hellersdorf is always full at such weekends. We are also thankful for the continued collaboration between the ECG Hellersdorf and the EBTC.

To God be all the glory!

10 year Anniversary Conference of EBTC

In a couple of days the EBTC will have the 10th Anniversary Conference, as well as the first graduation of our Masters class, and opening of the Rheinland Extension.

Please pray that the conference would be a blessing to the guests attending. We are expecting more than 600 guests and would covet your prayers for the speakers (John MacArthur , Dave Deuel, and EBTC staff) as well as our staff—that this would be a Christ centered, God honoring conference!

If you would like to visit our website, we are planning on providing live streaming on the 14th and 15th of November http://www.ebtc-online.org/.
