Each of the three programs that are offered can be completed separately. A lateral entry into the advanced studies class or the Master classese is negotiable with the school administration.
The students read and acquire many things on their own time schedule in this correspondence course. The homework is usually handed in via Internet. A time requirement of approx. 6 hours a week in the Bible Overview class and approx. 12 hours a week in the advanced studies is realistic.
This is quite the workload but it is manageable. It is important that you keep bringing to mind why and for whom you are investing time and money.
„Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.“ Colossians 3,23
Class takes place once a month (excluding summer vacation) on Friday and Saturday
In Bible Survey, classes start on Friday evening and conclude late Saturday afternoon.
In the Advanced studies the classes start on Friday morning. It is compulsory to attend the Hirtenkonferenz and take part in the additional seminars (twice a school year and each a week long).
Wives'/Women's Weekend
It is our desire that the wives of EBTC students also benefit from it. That is why we want, if possible, to have a women's weekend once a year for the wives, teachers and students. We encourage the wives to sit in as auditors. Excluded from that are the homiletic classes.
The EBTC desires a good cooperation between student, school and home church. That encompasses the recquired recommendation and support in finances, prayer, accompaniment and encouragement.
Our Library in Berlin contains more than 4.000 books. Among them are some standard pieces in German as well as in English as well as in Russian, that have proved to be extremely helpful to the participants.
Single pages can be copied. Yet, the students need to regard the generally valid copyrights. Under no circumstances is it permitted to write in the library books. Participants should conduct themselves in such a way that they do not disturb others while studying.
Apart from the books there is a computer available to the students. On which there are some Bible programs as well as helpful map and picture resources.
Geschichte der Bibliothek:
In 2001 our theological library was established. A year later our stock could be expanded by more than 1.500 books onto more than 4000 books. Hence our students and visitors have access to a pool of high-quality, theological books, CDs, DVDs and other resources.
The EBTC Berlin and Zurich are conveniently placed as regards transport facilities
Berlin not only connects East and West-Germany. Fast and reasonable InterCityExpress (ICE) and new cheap airlines with good connections to Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart make Berlin easily accessible from all regions of Germany.
Due to the large international airport and fast train connections Zurich is also very easily accessible.
