Program: Program overview
Topic: The Effects of Scripture in the Life of the Believer and the Church
Amongst believers we often speak of biblical theology, biblical counseling, bible based exposition, and countless books claim to be biblically sound. What really makes something biblical? A very important question!
To be worthy of being called “biblical” depends on what is understood about inspiration, infallibility and the resulting authority of Scripture as well as their practical application.
To take God’s Word seriously, in other words, to be biblical, one must submit to the authority of Scripture. This awareness must infiltrate and shape every aspect of life—personal, private, work related, as well as ministry.
This year’s Hirtenkonferenz (Shepherds’ Conference) addresses just that—The Authority of Scripture—highlighting and encouraging us to trust in God’s Word, fully and singularly, both in our own life and the life of God’s Church.
